Where’s My Beach Towel?
Abstract painting with bright primary colors. It’s a jumble of lines and small shapes, mostly blues, oranges, and sand-colored yellows. It’s painted with several layers of acrylic paint on a large canvas-40 inches wide. Imagining a very crowded beach, like Lee street beach near where I grew up in Evanston. On a hot summer weekend, one would just see a mass of colors from the towels, chairs, swimsuits, picnics, and perhaps lose sight of one's own little spot of sand.
